Davis Hermann is a design strategist at the Penn Medicine Center for Health Care Innovation. Davis is a firm believer that designers should begin their process by developing a deep understanding of the needs and experiences of the people they are working with. In the clinical setting, Davis engages closely with patients, clinicians, and other stakeholders to solve complex challenges.
Prior to joining the team, Davis worked in a number of environments ranging from non-profit organizations to multinational corporations. At The Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund, Davis used design as a tool for advocating for disability rights. At SAP, Davis worked with a team of experience designers to improve the work experience of the company’s 74,500 employees. Most recently, Davis worked in the Office of Clinical Quality Improvement at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, using design to improve the quality of patient care.
Davis received his master's degree in industrial design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and his bachelor’s degree in French and studio art from Grinnell College in Iowa.
