Mike Begley is a design strategist at the Penn Medicine Center for Health Care Innovation. Mike’s design process follows the doctrine’s of human-centered design and user empathy.
Prior to officially joining the team, Mike worked as a design fellow at the Center while completing a thesis on improving research methods for navigation systems in complex hospital environments. As a fellow, Mike helped deliver design proposals for Penn Medicine’s newly installed patient navigation system at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine. Preceding his career as a design strategist, Mike worked as a visual designer for various companies in the Delaware Valley including the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia 76ers.
Mike received his master's degree in design from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and his bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He has a 90 lb Doberman Pinscher named Dexter.
