Yevgeniy Gitelman MD

Clinical Informatics Manager

Yevgeniy Gitelman is a clinical informatics manager at the Center for Health Care Innovation and a staff hospitalist at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center.

Yevgeniy’s work focuses on improving the use of technology in clinical settings and developing new tools for providing patient care.  Prior to joining the Center, he developed several web applications including PennRolodoc, an application that provides real time on call information for clinicians.

As a resident, Yevgeniy was part of the Health Care Leadership and Quality Improvement Track, and at the VA, he led the implementation of the hospital’s first facility-wide online on-call schedule system.

Yevgeniy received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006, where he took several computer science courses before committing to pre-med.  He graduated AOA from Washington University in St. Louis in 2011, and completed his residency in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) in 2014.  Yevgeniy learned to build web apps during down time in residency.
