mHealth Labs challenges medical, engineering and nursing students to work together to develop and test technologies to improve health care delivery over the course of a semester.
Students receive access to resources such as software development toolkits, real-time data, EMR integration, and application hosting infrastructure including servers and databases. The program also offers optional mentorship on topics such as contextual inquiry, user-centered design methodology, and clinical informatics.
At its core, the program seeks to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and expose a wider variety of students to opportunities in the field of health care.
