Mike Begley is a design strategist at the Penn Medicine Center for Health Care Innovation. Mike’s design process follows the doctrine of human-centered design and user empathy.
Prior to officially joining the team, Mike worked as a design fellow at the Center while completing a thesis on improving research methods for navigation systems in complex hospital environments. As a fellow, Mike helped craft design proposals for the patient navigation system at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine. Preceding his career as a design strategist, Mike worked as a visual designer for various companies, including the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia 76ers.
Mike received his master's degree in design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and his bachelor’s degree in graphic design from West Chester University. He has a 90 pound Doberman named Dexter.
