Clinical Research Coordinator, Nudge Unit

Maya Childs is a clinical research coordinator at the Penn Medicine Nudge Unit, focusing her efforts on the Behavioral Science & Analytics for Injury Reduction (BeSAFIR) Lab portfolio.

Maya graduated from Tulane University, earning a bachelor’s degree and honors in psychology, with double minors in Africana studies and public health. In addition, she received the Faculty Memorial Award in Psychology and Top 20 Service Leaders Award. Maya is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.

A native of Philadelphia and an aspiring physician, Maya is passionate about service. She advocates for the medical, educational, professional, and cultural advancement of marginalized populations. She is honored to work on BeSAFIR projects, studying public health disparities and crises in inner-city populations to promote injury reduction interventions and mechanisms.
